Yes it seems to be healthy. The leaves don't suffer with black-spot like a lot of roses; or get eaten by 'leaf munchers'.I pruned it back as it was getting too high and it doesn't seem to mind. It is more of a tree than a rose!
We have seen this rose tree at Nymans today. The rose is Roseraie de l'Hay (the Hay as two dots over the y for pronunciation). That's the mystery solved.
